Johnson Chiang, CEO of Prudent Energy, the world leader in VRB energy storage systems and solutions. Prior to Prudent Energy, Mr. Chiang was the Chief Operating Officer at Suntech Power Holdings Co., Ltd. (NYSE: STP), the world's leading solar photovoltaic (PV) company, where he was responsible for operations for its development and manufacturing sites in China, Japan and Germany. Chiang's previous experiences include 3 years as head of business unit at Foxconn Technology Group, the world's largest electronics manufacturing Service Company, and 15 years in various operation positions at Solectron Corporation in California. Solectron won the U.S. Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award in the large manufacturer category in 1991 and 1997. He received his M.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington and MBA degree from Santa Clara University in California.
Tim Hennessy, President
Former CEO of VRB Power Systems Inc., which was the global leader of VRB technology. Before VRB Power, he served as Vice President of Engineering and Operations and Managing Director of LECTRIX LLC (a Bechtel Siemens AEP JV), Vice President of PacifiCorp's Energy Services, Quality of Supply Manager for ESKOM and was a founder and Principal of Power Quality Technology. Mr. Hennessy has published and presented more than 20 international papers and was the editor of the Power Quality Blue Book (South Africa), a text for engineers in industry. He holds 8 patents. He serves on the board of Schmitt Industries (NASDAQ: SMIT). He is chartered engineer in UK and holds a MSc. Eng (Elect) from WITS University and an MDP (UNISA).
Jeff Pierson, Senior Vice President
Jeff Pierson is the Senior Vice President of Prudent Energy. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company's Washington, D.C. office while overseeing global sales and marketing, government relations, and strategic alliances. Jeff has over 20 years of experience in the energy and power industry, venture capital, and public service. He is the former Associate Administrator for Investment at the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), was the Managing Director of ALTEC Energy Ventures, LLC, and served as the Director of Power Generation Applications and Board Member at ALM Turbine, Inc. He has also worked at the International Energy Agency in Paris, France, in the White House, and U.S. Congress. Mr. Pierson received his B.A. from Emory University and completed graduate work in International Business and Finance at the Fletcher School at Tufts University.
Gary Lepp, Chief Technology Officer
An experienced technology leader who, in 3 years at VRB Power Systems Inc., successfully built a team that initiated VRB's stack and system product development activities and advanced them to the point of commercial readiness. Mr.Lepp brings over 20 years of experience in mechanical engineering and product development regarding electrochemical power generation. Mr. Lepp holds a Masters of Applied Science and Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of British Columbia and is a registered member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of B.C. and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
Andy Li, Vice President, Finance
Prudent Energy's Financial VP, possesses over 10 years experience in financial and accounting. Mr. Li completed his undergraduate education at Fudan University in Shanghai with a degree in Accounting, and he was awarded a full scholarship by Pepperdine University, where he pursued his MBA.
Borjune Lin, Vice President, Manufacturing
Borjune Lin is a manufacturing veteran with more than 30 years experience working for several world-class manufacturing companies. His experiences include 14 years in industrial engineering, operations at General Instrument in Taiwan, 10 years in manufacturing, engineering and operations at Solectron Corporation (both in California, U.S.A. and Suzhou, China), and 3 years in manufacturing at Chi-Mei Communication System, Inc./ Foxconn Group. Prior to Prudent Energy, he was a general manager of manufacturing at Tongfang Technovator Int. Beijing Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Tsinghua Tongfang in Beijing. Borjune Lin holds EMBA from Tulane University, U.S.A.
