The VRB-ESS can reduce the peak of a customer's energy load as seen by the distribution system. This improves utilization of assets on the electrical grid and rescues customer energy demand. The utility load factor is improved. The diagram shows that by selectively releasing power during periods of high demand, significant energy saving can be achieved.
