Power utilities have been using storage for decades (via pumped hydro power, for example), but today's challenge is in deploying a rapid, scalable system – charging and discharging deeply within less than a millisecond to supply or absorb megawatts.
VRB-ESS® technology is unique in its ability to deliver extremely large quantities of stored power at affordable costs. This safe and environmentally friendly solution delivers clean power on demand through highly precise control, sophisticated power capabilities, and instantaneous time-shifting of MW-scale load.
Prudent Energy's innovative systems include 1) proprietary VRB® products, 2) factory and customized integration of power electronics, and 3) a smart control system of hardware and software. Each scalable system integrates energy storage and power management in 200-kW modules up to 10 MW of capacity and 60 MWh of storage. The result is a utility-ready system with proper functioning and maximum performance to meet on-demand storage needs.
